Costa Rica Missions Trip
Costa Rica, Liberia, Guanacaste
10 days on March 8 through March 16, 2025
Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste province in Costa Rica, is a charming city known as the "White City" due to its sun-bleached roads and colonial-style architecture. It serves as a gateway to the region’s stunning beaches, national parks, and cultural heritage. Liberia is situated in northwestern Costa Rica, approximately 215 kilometers (134 miles) from San José, the country’s capital. Its location near the Pacific Coast and key natural attractions makes it a hub for tourists. Liberia's economy thrives on tourism, agriculture, and cattle ranching. The nearby Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport makes it a central entry point for visitors exploring Guanacaste's attractions.

In 2022, a Costa Rican pastor reached out to Pastors Mike and Julie Gowans from Bethel Church, Chandler, Arizona, with an invitation to support his country. Feeling led by the Holy Spirit, the Gowans visited Costa Rica and discovered that this opportunity was just the beginning of something bigger. Their first crusade in 2023 marked a pivotal milestone, and soon after, the President of the Evangelical Alliance of Costa Rica welcomed them to host crusades in all seven provinces, spreading the message of Jesus Christ. E4 MISSIONS is privileged to come alongside the Bethel Church and Mission Rev38 to strategically serve this region through campus outreach, sports outreach, and creative arts outreach.
